The tesafix® 4976 PUR foam tape in black is a shear-resistant, self-adhesive mounting tape with an age-resistant acrylate adhesive for the permanent fastening of a wide variety of objects.

Description

tesafix® 4976 is a high-performance, double-sided PUR foam tape in black that was specially developed for secure mounting on uneven and rough surfaces. The foam backing excellently compensates for surface irregularities, while the modified acrylate adhesive provides good initial tack as well as high static shear strength at 23 °C and 40 °C. The tape is equipped with a brown release liner (weight 80 g/m², thickness 70 µm) and offers moderate resistance to plasticizers and chemicals, as well as moderate resistance to UV aging. With a total thickness of 540 µm, an elongation at break of 250%, and a tensile strength of 6.66 N/cm, tesafix® 4976 is ideal for the permanent bonding of plastics and metals, such as ABS, aluminum, PC, PE, PET, PP, PS, PVC, and steel. The tape is temperature-resistant up to 80 °C for long-term use and up to 200 °C for short-term use, with low moisture resistance.
