tesa® 4657 PV1 is a high-quality, easy-to-unroll, acrylate-coated fabric tape for demanding, temporary, and permanent masking and fastening applications.

Description

tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated woven tape on a cotton fabric backing with a fabric density of 145 mesh (145 threads/inch²) and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. The PV1 variant is specifically designed for low unwinding force, making it particularly user-friendly. The tape is ideal for the production of stamped parts and is primarily used in the automotive industry for covering holes. Thanks to its high tensile strength (105 N/cm), excellent puncture resistance, and strong adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, it delivers reliable performance even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min). The acrylate-coated fabric structure is flexible, colorfast, solvent-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and water-resistant, making tesa® 4657 ideal for permanent applications. The tape can be torn by hand, offers a very clean, straight tear edge, is writable, and can be removed without leaving any residue, even after exposure to high temperatures. A yellow glassine paper with a thickness of 76 µm is used as the release liner.
