tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated fabric tape for demanding, temporary, and permanent masking and fastening applications.

Description

tesa® 4657 is a highly durable, acrylate-coated fabric tape with a cotton fabric backing (fabric density 145 threads/inch²) and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. It offers high tensile strength (105 N/cm), excellent puncture resistance, and strong adhesion (4.6 N/cm on steel), even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min.). The tape is waterproof, colorfast, solvent-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, making it ideal for permanent applications. Thanks to its excellent tearability by hand, straight tear edge, and ease of use, it is ideally suited for the production of die-cut parts as well as for precise masking work. The standard version is PV0; additionally, a version with low unrolling (PV1) and a variant on a yellow glassine paper liner with a thickness of 76 µm (PV9) are available. The tape can be removed without leaving any residue even after exposure to high temperatures and is writable, making it extremely versatile for use in production and maintenance.
