tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated fabric tape for demanding temporary and permanent masking and fastening applications in industrial and automotive production.

Description

tesa® 4657 is a highly durable, acrylate-coated fabric tape with a cotton fabric backing (fabric density 145 threads/inch²) and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. It offers high tensile strength (105 N/cm), excellent puncture resistance, and very good adhesion to nearly all substrates—even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min.). The tape is waterproof, colorfast, solvent-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, making it ideal for permanent indoor and outdoor applications. tesa® 4657 is suitable for the production of stamped parts and is used in particular in the automotive industry to cover holes, threaded holes, and drain holes. Thanks to its excellent tearability by hand and straight tear edge, the tape is easy to apply and can be removed without leaving residue, even after exposure to high temperatures. The standard version is PV0; additionally available are a version with low unrolling (PV1) and a variant on a yellow glassine paper liner with a thickness of 76 µm (PV9).
