Tesa® 4657, black
tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated fabric tape with a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive for demanding temporary and permanent masking and fastening applications.
Description
tesa® 4657 is a highly durable, acrylate-coated fabric tape on a cotton fabric backing with a fabric density of 145 threads/inch² and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. It is particularly suitable for the production of stamped parts and is used in the automotive industry, especially for covering holes. The standard version is PV0; additionally, a version with low unrolling (PV1) and a version on yellow glassine paper with a thickness of 76 µm (PV9) are available. The tape offers high tensile strength (105 N/cm), excellent puncture resistance, and very good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates—even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min). It is flexible, water-resistant, and resistant to fading, solvents, and abrasion; thanks to its highly weather-resistant acrylate coating, it is ideally suited for long-term applications. Handling is easy due to its excellent tearability by hand and straight tear edges; furthermore, it can be removed without leaving residue even after exposure to high temperatures. The fabric tape is writable, suitable for die-cutting, and has a liner release force of 0.3 N/cm with a total thickness of 290 µm.
