The hydrocolloid dressing for moist wound care, which supports wound healing by creating a moist wound environment. Hydrocoll® Classic is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic wounds with mild to moderate exudate, second-degree burns, or wounds at skin graft sites. Hydrocoll® is a sterile, self-adhesive wound dressing consisting of a hydrocolloid adhesive layer with a polyurethane film cover layer. The product absorbs wound exudate. Once the exudate has been absorbed, the hydrocolloid layer transforms into a gel. This creates a moist wound environment that promotes wound healing. The polyurethane film prevents the entry of germs. The film is water-repellent and permeable to water vapor and gases. Since the gel forms only during use, the dressing does not stick to the wound, and the healing process is not impaired by dressing changes. Newly formed tissue is not damaged. Thanks to its thin, flexible material, Hydrocoll easily conforms to the body’s contours. The surface of Hydrocoll® is dirt-repellent and waterproof.
