Wofür verwende ich eine Fixierbinde?

Mit einer Fixierbinde hältst du Wundauflagen und Kompressen an ihrem Platz. Sie ist elastisch, passt sich dem Körper an und schränkt die Beweglichkeit kaum ein.

Was bedeutet kohäsiv oder haft bei Fixierbinden?

Kohäsive Binden wie Peha-haft oder Elastomull haft haften nur an sich selbst, nicht an Haut oder Haaren. Dadurch verrutscht der Verband weniger, und du brauchst keine Klammern oder Pflaster zum Befestigen.

Welche Breite brauche ich?

Die Breite richtet sich nach der Körperstelle. Schmale Binden, zum Beispiel 4 cm, eignen sich für Finger und Hand, breitere Binden wie 10 cm für Arm, Bein oder Kopf.

Kann ich eine Fixierbinde mehrmals verwenden?

Fixierbinden sind für die Wundversorgung meist als Einmalprodukt gedacht. Hat die Binde Kontakt mit Wundsekret gehabt, solltest du sie nicht erneut verwenden.
