Wofür werden Mulltupfer verwendet?

Mulltupfer werden zum Tupfen, Reinigen und Aufnehmen von Blut und Flüssigkeiten eingesetzt, zum Beispiel bei der Wundversorgung, in der Arztpraxis oder im OP.

Was bedeutet RöKo bei Mulltupfern?

RöKo steht für Röntgenkontrastfaden. Dieser Faden ist im Röntgenbild sichtbar, deshalb werden Tupfer mit RöKo vor allem im OP verwendet. Für die normale Wundversorgung reichen Tupfer ohne RöKo.

Brauche ich sterile oder unsterile Mulltupfer?

Für die Versorgung offener Wunden und für Eingriffe solltest du sterile Tupfer verwenden. Unsterile Tupfer eignen sich zum Beispiel zur Reinigung intakter Haut oder für Tätigkeiten, bei denen keine Sterilität nötig ist.

Was bedeuten die Größenangaben wie walnussgroß oder eigroß?

Die Angabe beschreibt die Größe des geformten Tupfers, der Wert in cm die Größe des Mullstücks vor dem Formen. Kleinere Tupfer eignen sich für feine Arbeiten, größere für mehr Flüssigkeit.
