Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer, consisting of a polyethylene pephthalate (PET) network as a carrier material that is coated on both sides with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxan). This wound contact layer serves the attraumatic wound treatment and is thin, soft, cropable and drapable. Due to the open network structure, it is permeable to exudate. Silicone-Wound contact layer for the attraumatic wound treatment and to protect organs and other sensitive structures in negative pressure-wound therapy.
It is gently and safe on dry, but not on damp surfaces. So it counteracts a gluing with the wound
